While some don’t revel having a desk in their grown-up bedroom, a desk in a child’s room can be a wonderful idea. It’s a quiet place where a child can get away to think, read, and work on their homework:
Some children may do better with these things at the kitchen table, where they can be supervised and helped by their parents. But a desk in the bedroom can still go a long way to encourage studious activities. The bedrooms shown here are examples of how desks can be incorporated in traditional ways (as free-standing furniture) or as built-ins that are a part of a system that includes bed, storage, and desk (as in the second image).
