Before & After: A Bedroom Catch-All

Before & After: A Bedroom Catch-All

It seems I've spent too much time investigating the ways other people stylishly manage their own homes, because I've somehow ended up with this messy, unsightly pile of stuff. Inspired by this month's focus on the bedroom (and after a nasty spat with my tangled man-jewelry) I spent the weekend hitting up some go-to shops and local flea markets to pull together a functional, round-table catch-all for my bedroom...

I had just about lost all use for this 1960's teak sewing stand that I had previously used as a coffee table, when I had the idea to use it as low catch-all, in-the-round. I cleaned out the clutter from against the wall and paired down to the essentials. Using a mirrored tray I found on sale at Target, an adorable dachshund dessert tray from West Elm, and some other one-of-a-kind treasures I incorporated for no other reason but to have something dandy to look at, I pulled together a catch-all that fits perfectly in the wide, empty space between my bed and closet. I'm hoping the central location and arial view will prove useful in helping me keep track of my little necessities so I can finally stop running around the apartment like a chicken with his head cut off!
