Before & After: A Just Fine Fireplace Shifts Into Spring
I don't know if it was the warmer weather that prompted Gwen to make a change to her fireplace, but what she did certainly heralds a brand new spring season. Out went the drab and brown feel, and in its place stood something much, much happier.
The end result speaks for itself. While the inside of the fireplace became black, the outside is a hefty mood lifter in the form of a yellow paint job. Gwen picked Behr's Lemon Zest as her color of choice and it's bold, bright and just all around fantastic.
Gwen also chose to extend the paint up above the mantel and to the ceiling, which changed the proportions of the fireplace, and made it more in keeping with the rest of the room. The ceilings look higher as a result.

Thanks Gwen!
