Cheltz and her husband got this giant wooden spool for free and decided to turn it into a rustic-cool (and budget-friendly) centerpiece in their home. Talk about the ultimate upcycling.

Since the spool was way too high for a dining table (over 40″), the base had to be trimmed. They chopped off a good portion with a chain saw and reassembled the heavy top. Then Cheltz finished the whole thing with 3 coats of polyurathane. Says Cheltz, “Voila! Free table in a weekend!”
