Before & After: An Old, Outdated Sunroom Is Transformed into a Dreamy Lounge & Play Space
This old 1950s sunroom came with an office-style ceiling, cold cement floors and extremely old windows. Elise's challenge was to make it into something cozy and fun, a place that her and her children would actually want to spend time in. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a sunroom in their home, but this project is the perfect example of turning an outdated and under-utilized space into a personal, useful room.
Elise and Ben added wood floors and took out the office ceiling to reveal the real wood beams. They replaced the windows and made this built-in daybed themselves. Elise made most of these pillows herself which can also be purchased at the store she is a Creative Director at, Burke Decor. Add some great lighting, some plants and a projector and you've got yourself a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view.
