Before & After: A Brooklyn Kitchen Remodel

Laura and Ben moved into their home a couple of years ago, and recently tackled their kitchen renovation before the arrival of their new baby. Originally an old butcher shop, the space had high ceilings and an open plan to work with. Using Google SketchUp to design the layout, they filled in their kitchen with new cabinets, countertops, and appliances, and put down a new floor. Check out the results:

Resources of Note:
• Countertops are soapstone
• Farmhouse sink is from Franke
• Shaker cabinets by Schuler from Lowes
• Floor is Marmoleum in spa from Green Depot
• Stove and hood are from Bluestar
• Light fixtures are from Schoolhouse Electric
• Refrigerator is the Active Smart model from Fisher & Paykel
• Bridge faucet is by Hansgrohe from Amazon

You can see more pictures of the renovation here, and the sketches here, on Laura's blog, WREN handmade.

Thanks, Laura!
