Old vinyl 12″ records are transformed through heating and moulding into elegant vinyl speakers which amplify sound from smartphones through their shape alone – no need for wires or electricity.

You can see a bit of the process of softening the LPs using heat and a molding stand to create the record speaker form factor above. Once finished, simply placing an iPod or similar small speaker digitial device results in a much more voluminous sound. Seems ripe for a DIY project, though you might want to hit up a thrift store for scratched, unwanted records instead of tapping into your own collection!
