- My room makeover::
- My rental kitchen has always been my least favorite room but the 50+ year old linoleum was the worst part and I had finally had enough. So I painted it with floor and porch paint and then cut a custom stencil to add the pattern and sealed the whole thing with poly. It cost about $120 total for the materials and took about 15 hours over the course of four days with drying time. While I was at it I repainted the walls and cabinets to freshen up the whole room.
- My makeover advice::
- The floor and porch paint has amazing coverage even over a textured linoleum floor and it's really important to wait for the poly to dry. It was a pain to wait two days but totally worth it for such good seal protecting all my hard work.
- What I love most about my new space::
- The floors! I love how much character the pattern has added to the space and I'm so excited to cook in here now.
