Meredith had picked up a floor model of this nightstand years ago, and then forgot about it. When she redid her entry and couldn’t find the perfect table, out came the old cabinet, just waiting for a new look (and a statement color).
From Meredith:
I was in need of a new table for my front hall. Because of the location of our cat door to the basement and the need for storage, I was having a hard time finding a table that wasn’t too big but still had at least 2 drawers. And then I remembered an old Bombay Company bedside table that I had bought as a floor model YEARS ago that was just sitting in my basement.A few hours over a couple of nights and it was completely transformed for about $40. With a little bit of primer, flat interior paint in Sherwin Williams’ Kilkenny and a can of gold spray paint, this is now a piece that makes me smile every time I walk by it.
Materials & Costs:
– Zinsser BONDZ primer (already purchased for other projects)
– Sherwin-Williams Interior Flat Paint in Kilkenny ($24 at Lowes)
– Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic Gloss Paint and Primer Spray in Champagne Mist ($10 at Lowes)
