A Peek Inside the Super Closet: Hidden Laundry & Pantry

Do you remember the tour of Kyle's renovated apartment in San Francisco? A fully realized interpretation of one homeowner's style, the interior design not only reflects Kyle's cozy cottage-style aesthetics but also two parts of her personality - a definite focus on neatness coupled with a love of entertaining. Hence, the super closet...

Hidden behind the door panels is a full laundry area and what just possibly may be the tidiest pantry I've ever seen. With a combination of open and closed storage (love the divided section for organizing baking sheets and trays) as well as a surface perfect for the microwave, it's a little bit of a dream come true, especially for those of us who live in smaller city homes: a Harry Potter-esque hidden "room of requirement" in your house where you can tuck away all the stuff that you need close at hand but don't really want to look at everyday.

And, for a little look back...

The area, "before", two conventional closets...

...and after, featuring the wooden doors that were designed by Kyle and beautifully handcrafted by her dad.
