We think a good rug is hard to find; one that suits you in texture, color and design. Since giving up active searching, we just stumbled upon this one on Craigslist (even though we had committed to the idea of finding a "new rug," not a "slightly used" one.)
Even so, we just purchased our largest (8 x 10!), nicest, hottest rug yet. At three-months old and barely used, we knew this West Elm "Links" rug in chocolate brown and beige was the one.
We're curious about your best Craigslist finds, if you've scored anything from our scavenging here on Apartment Therapy, and what you'd like to see us scavenge more of for you. Please tell us!
Our Craigslist experience this time around? We had the most pleasant buyer/seller exchange, it was in perfect condition when we went to check it out, and after a few days at home it is shedding a lot (initially driving us bonkers, but then we remembered that NEW or barely used rugs shed. So, we got a new rug after all!).
