Best Platform for Digital Comics?

Q - I've been trying REALLY hard to re-consolidate my comic book library. Scanning, repurchasing eBooks, and now, I'm considering throwing down for an iPad to help get rid of my boxes underneath my bed. Any thoughts on digital comic book platforms, Unplggd?

A - Hey Randy,

You're in luck. Actually, we happen to be big comic book lovers here too! We've mentioned PanelFly's comic book reader for the iPhone in the past (they also have an iPad version out now) and we believe Marvel's even got their own version for the iPad now, so there's plenty of options to go around in terms of digitally switching over.

Panelfly offers an easy-to-use interface and social options for those that like that sorta thing.

We guess the biggest thing to look out for is finding a platform that creates an experience that feels as engaging as the real thing. Screens these days are much brighter, last longer in terms of battery life, and allow quick purchases without ever needing to step into a comic book store (though we won't deny there is something in the awe and joy of stepping into a local comic shop and experiencing all of that art all at once).

Got a recommendation for Randy? Is it time for people to finally let go of their physical copies and switch to digital? Let us know in the comments!
