Almost every speaker manufacturer has an iPod dock solution but this is one of the few that we found that satisfies in the looks, sound and even ergonomics department.

We played with this for a little bit at the Apple store and the Zeppelin can't really be considered a portable iPod dock. At 16.5 pounds, it is more a stereo replacement then move from room to room type setup. The sound was amazing, by far the best of any iPod dock we have listened to, but where the Zeppelin sets itself apart is the floating arm where your iPod sits. This unique element ties the overall industrial design together, but what it really does is allow you to grasp and interact with your iPod as though you were holding it naturally in your hand. No more awkwardly trying to scroll with your index finger like those other docks. This is one beautiful and natural speaker. For $600 it better be.
