Trader Joe’s is one of the best places to grocery shop in the world. The store has fresh and tasty produce, a huge selection of great frozen foods, and the best seasonal treats – all for great prices.

Honestly, Trader Joe’s almost always has better prices and deals than the grocery store. There are only a few select items that you can find for cheaper at a chain supermarket, but TJs is so good, why not shell out the extra 50 cents?

It is no secret that Trader Joe’s is great, which means that you have to fight through crowds to get your shopping done. Any New Yorker wouldn’t be caught dead in the Trader Joe’s in Union Square after 5 PM or on the weekends. You’d spend an hour in line just waiting to check out!

Apparently, there is a better time of day to shop at the store. There are even better days of the week to shop, too. A former “mate” A.K.A. a manager at Trader Joe’s revealed the secret during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) when to shop.

“Tuesday, Wednesday are the best days. Early morning is best time. I think it’s hilarious people go on Sunday and complain that we are so busy. Right when we open is honestly the best time to go. We get fresh produce in every morning so you can get the best products, and some stuff actually will sell out for the day around 2-4pm, including perishable and non-perishable items.”

That makes perfect sense! Anyone who has been able to shop on weekday morning versus a weekend morning knows that the crowds are completely different. However, did you know that items could sell out so early in the day? That is surprising!

Do you plan to take an 11 A.M. lunch break from work to run to Trader Joe’s?
