Wallpaper—especially the old school, paste-it-up kind—can be both an investment and a time commitment. So if you’re putting in the money and the work, you might as well have fun with your wallpaper, right? We think so, and these Apartment Therapy readers did, too. Below, some of our favorite spaces covered in vibrant wallpaper.

A floral-fab bathroom

Is it possible to look at the girly wallpaper in this bathroom without smiling? It’s bold for sure, it’s actually a low-risk choice—it’s a peel-and-stick option. You can remove the paper, by Samantha Santana, at any time—though would you really want to?

A surprise-inside closet

Hanging bold wallpaper in a boring coat closet is one of our favorite ideas. The tropical vibes of this wallpaper by Divine Savages will remind you of warmer days when hanging up your winter coat.

A bold basement accent wall

Basements tend to be pretty blah—but not this one, which has a pink and green removable wallpaper accent wall that’s to die for. “Since I am working as an interior designer and always looking for new things to recommend to my clients and have also personally already played with the idea of trying something other than paint, I discovered the magic of removable wallpaper,” Christin of Earthly Urban Design says. “And when I came across this lush botanical print, I knew it would be a perfect match to the rest of our home.”

A whimsical navy-and-blush office

With a navy and blush geometric wallpaper, this office has become a space you’d actually want to spend time in. Get the look from Spoonflower.

A geometric patterned bathroom

This plain bathroom gained some personality from a removable geometric wallpaper (Tempaper Moroccan Spice Soleil). “I like that it’s bold and that if down the road I don’t like it, I can peel off the wallpaper and start over,” homeowner Kathryn Flynn says.

A closet with a hint of the tropics

Here’s another tropical closet that we want in our own homes stat. Once again, removable wallpaper is the star. This palm leaf wallpaper is from Carter + Main. “I love that when I have guests over, I can take their coat and not quickly have to shut my coat closet door,” homeowner Heather Benazzi says. “It’s now a conversation piece and lovely to look at.”
