Have you replaced all of your incandescents with CFLs? Or are you more of an LED person?
Or maybe you're someone who hates the quality of light from a CFL (we know you're out there).
Well, it's possible that all these problems will be a thing of the past.
A startup in Seattle is promising a light bulb that is better than CFLs and LED. Vu1 says their bulb will be energy-efficient and "mercury-free like an LED, energy efficient and affordable like a CFL, but fully-featured to meet performance requirements that consumers demand."
That's a lot to promise -- but they seem very confident in their Electron Stimulated Luminescence (ESL™) Lighting Technology. Read all about it here.
We're anxious to see these bulbs and test them in our own home. And, we might not have to wait too long. The first screw-in models could be available as early as next month according to this article in Residential Lighting. Stay tuned for a review.
