With every great experiment, there is the risk of going overboard. The best way to gauge whether your furniture could handle some seriously sized throw pillows? Find a pillow you already have in the house and see what size it is. If it feels really dinky, consider bumping up the size by a couple several inches. If it feels pretty nice, maybe only go one size bigger.
