In the independent, mad-hatter worlds of teacup and reclaimed product design, almost anything goes. When these two creative worlds collide, the result can be especially charming and cooky— as is the case with products produced by Hrafnkell Birgisson. Part teacup, part glass stemware, Birgisson's drinking objects are made of vintage second-hand teacups attached to long, glass stems.
Outside of its non-traditional design, there's something mindlessly fun in debating your guests about whether the object should be used for cocktails or after-dinner tea. Also, since each cup is a unique vintage find, getting one in the mail always entails a surprise.
