We can't remember where we stole this sweet and simple idea from but we're glad we did! As we got closer to a very large, traditional Korean first birthday party for our little girl, our initial plan of baking our own cupcakes had to go...
But living in walking distance to a large Whole Foods, we decided to mix the mini cupcakes they sell there for about 12 for $5, with some regular sized cupcakes we ordered- all in white. Then we stuck a heart shaped small cookies (also at Whole Foods) in each one.
We borrowed a cupcake platter from a friend and topped it all off with a cupcake clothespin doll from Etsy shop Wee Cute Treasures. It was simple, affordable, and we heard from guests- delicious.
