Are you putting your feet up for a day of rest after Thanksgiving or are you joining the throngs of shoppers heading out for the Black Friday frenzy? Or perhaps you're holding out for the online sales on the newer but growing in popularity Cyber Monday? As you probably know these shopping days are mostly dominated by big box stores and sites, although some smaller companies are also getting in on the action. We've put together information on some notable sales for kids' and family goods as well as pulled out some specific deals to check out.




  • Plenty of sellers on Etsy are offering sales in the next few days. Search for "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday" sales in the search box.

  • P'kolino has a Friday-Monday sale on "exclusives", save up to 50%.

  • Amazon's Black Friday deals are hard to keep track of, but you can see their lightning sales and top deals on Toys and Games here.

  • is offering Cyber Monday deals on toy brands like Skip Hop and Melissa & Doug and 25% off stuffed animals.

  • Olli & Lime - save 30% off sitewide between 10/21-26. Find the promo code on their front page.

  • Tempaper - 25% off site-wide including Tempaper Tots line and custom printing (11/23-26)

  • Magic Beans - spend $75 and choose a $20 or less item for free

  • Lille Huset - 25% off the whole store plus free shipping (10/23 & 10/24 )

  • CB2 Doodlebooth in New York City- Jana Kinsman, the artist behind the 'Oliver' dinnerware collection will be at the Eastside Store (979 3rd Avenue) on 10/23 from 12pm-5pm and at the SOHO store (451 Broadway) on 10/24 from 12pm-5pm to create personalized illustrations you can use in your holiday cards, gift tags or stationery. Future stops will be in Toronto, Chicago, LA and San Francisco.

  • Buy 1 Preschool Toy, Get 1 at 50% off at Big Lots

  • All Bikes and Scooters on Sale at Sears

  • Save 20% off the entire site at Layla Grace.

And, don't forget, Saturday November 24th is Small Business Saturday. Started by American Express in 2010, it's a bit of an antidote to Black Friday and encourages shoppers to support local and small businesses.
