Name: Alexandra Curtis and dog Jake
Location: Old Town — Scottsdale, Arizona
Size: 831 square feet
Years lived in: 5 months, owned

I bought this condo in July. Designed and renovated it myself (renovated with the help of a few people). My last house was white and bright, so I figured I would do the complete opposite with this new space. With such tall ceilings it allowed for a much darker color palette. I live here alone with my dog, Jake. Every time someone new comes over the first comment made is about my ceiling fans and how awesome they are.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Clean, masculine, natural

What is your favorite room and why? My favorite room is the kitchen because it’s all black, very sleek, and minimalist.

If you could magically change something about your home, what would it be? I would want more storage! And maybe have a really interesting way to block off the bedroom from the rest of the open space.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? I literally just bought eight frames! I have three metal ledges from CB2 that I am preparing to put on a blank wall to become my art/gallery wall.

Any advice for creating a home you love? Keep the color palette classic and clean. You can always add color pops with pieces you can easily change. Calm and neutral is best.

Thanks, Alexandra!
