Small spaces are always inspiring — especially when they're handmade from scratch. Over a year ago, I paid a visit to my dear friend Chris' house and knew that I needed to share his progress with everyone. His space is inspirational (maybe a little too granola for some), but I wanted to revisit it because I love his office space.
We're all certainly no stranger to a lofted bed, and that's exactly what chris made. The trick is — his bedroom and office are actually a completely enclosed room on castors. He made his bedroom and office on wheels because during the renovation he needed to move it around. If he was working on the front of the space, he'd roll it to the back with complete ease.
When you step inside the bedroom, it's so interesting to see. You immediately focus on the office space that he built under his loft bed. He uses a vintage desk chair that seemed to be the natural choice! He built compartments and containers to hold his supplies under the desk, as well as a record player stand and record containers behind the desk.
It's enjoyable to know that even though people are concerned with green building and extreme DIY projects, they still don't lose your touch with technology.
