Blueprint's Plastic Panel Idea : A Local Source

Blueprint's Plastic Panel Idea : A Local Source

We grabbed the new issue of Blueprint at the supermarket and threw it on the checkout stand without even giving it a second thought - didn't even crack the cover before buying.

We are chalking it up to the cover photo of this plexiglas panel and desk set up - we wanted to know more, right off the bat.

Now, the two sided desk thing seems a bit cutesy (especially in the photo with the girl and guy models)...

...but we like the look of the simple lined white desk ($249. at West Elm) in combination with the hot pink plexi panel ($200. at Canal Plastics Center, color #2085).

We think a panel like this really could help define a work "space" in a modern, bright way even if done with a single desk against a wall.

And thanks to the brilliant comment-ers on the AT Chicago Open Thread (#54, to be exact) a week or so ago, we know where we can get large size panels right here in Chicago...Petersen Brother's Plastics.

Vic 242 brought up the subject and redcloverstar came through with the Petersen source. Fuzzball and Julie Mack had good suggestions too.

Hooray for the OT!
