Blogging:'s Kid-Friendly Contest

Inspiration comes easily when you peruse the winners of Child Magazine's annual kid-friendly Home Contest. We love Zoe Peterson's room because it's a mini apartment all her own, complete with living room, kitchen, dining room, etc. Her parents say it's become a place for adults to be kids again. We wouldn't mind stopping by for a spot of tea.

We were hoping to post pics of the 2006 winners that we saw in this month's magazine, but apparently they're not online yet. So...why not check out the winners from previous years. We picked out our fav's from the past few groups of winners. You pick yours.

How about this aquamarine nursery created by The von Hausch Family from Fort Lauderdale? Certainly not your traditional nursery! Mother Bonnie said she "wanted the room to appear as if it was a coral reef, where you could see things at different levels as you 'swim' around it." Mission accomplished as far as we can see.

The Mrak Family took a love for the story "Goodnight Moon" to a whole new level. We think they really captured the magic.

The Sims Family created a colorful playroom with lots of budget friendly ideas you can duplicate.
