Blogging Wired: October, 2007

Wired didn’t exactly label their October issue as a “green issue,” but they might as well have.

From “What’s Inside: Colgate Whitening Oxygen Bubbles Brisk Mint Toothpaste” (umm, yeah, lye) to a feature on cellulosic ethanol (“One Molecule Could Cure Our Addiction to Oil“), this issue is chock full of green material.

Another really ingenious feature is a flow chart which diagrams the movement of tech companies in the Silicon Valley toward photovoltaic panels and all things green.

And, last but not least, a really concise synopsis of four alternative energy technologies that Wired considers to be “on the brink.”

Most of these articles are on line, but we recommend picking up a hard copy — there’s something about seeing that flow chart on the printed page …

In other Wired news: starting on Oct. 8, you can purchase tickets to tour the Wired LivingHome, a super-green, super-high tech prefab home in Los Angeles.
