Bloom Bassinet

Another beautiful co-sleeper graced our screens this week. The Bloom Bassinet is a multi-functional piece designed by Natalie Keville. The flowering shape of the bassinet (hence the name, presumably) is fashioned from EVA foam.

It sits on a stand that allows it to slide right up to your bed for safe co-sleeping. The mattress is made from felted organic cotton, a natural, waterproof, non-toxic, fire-safe, and dust mite proof material.

The bassinet stand can also be turned on its side to create a rocking bassinet. There also is a motion sensor pad. Yes, you read that correctly. A motion sensor pad : By means of sensor technology, even the slightest breathing movements will activate a pulsing illumination. The pulse emulates a calm breathing rhythm promoting a relaxed environment, by providing parents with a reassuring visual of their baby's wellbeing. The illumination can be set to a slow pulse, a steady glow or turned off depending on preference. For parents of newborns, you know how reassuring that can be!

Last, but definitely not least, the bassinet also features a stand that converts it to a reclining seat when baby outgrows the need for a bassinet.

No word yet on when it can be purchased.
