Good headphones are absolutely needed if you are listening to your iPod or iPhone a lot. There are quite a bit of choices in quite a bit of prices. We were somewhat surprised to see that BMW has taken up the challenge in designing a good pair of headphones. The great news is that they partnered up with Sennheiser, a great headphone company.
BMW DesignworksUSA and Sennheiser collaborated on this project. The goal was to come up with three new earphones, the CX 980, MX 980, and OMX 980. These earphones are supposed to combine Neodymium magnets, which guarantee a good sounds with detailed audio resolution. They are also supposed to fit comfortably and have a frequency response from 16 to 24 KHz.
As with most modern earbuds, they come with a bunch of different adapters, which let the user decide on what exactly they are putting into their ears. Each earphone comes with 7 different adapters. The MX 980s are finished with metal, while the OMX 980 have a sort of Y-structure, which combines an adjustable ear hook.
