Bold, Graphic Mailboxes from Recycled Street Signs

While looking for a new mailbox, I stumbled across Boris Bally's work. "Transit Series" pieces are made from handpicked raw materials, chosen for their thickness, color and graphics. These bold and ultra durable mailboxes make no exception. Large enough to hold your magazines and small packages, adding one of these to your porch would make a pretty big statement.

Boris Bally calls his process "Humanufactured," meaning his products, or art objects, are all hand hewn. They remind me a lot of Freitag bags, which I think is a good thing. Purchasing one is no small commitment, though. At over $400 the pricing has them keeping company with many other high-end designer mailboxes and would be quite the work of art to share with your postal carrier. Just make sure it's securely installed so no one walks away with it.
