Bookshelf Skirt Hides Peripherals

Here's a cute idea for hiding home office or theater peripherals. The 7 Skirts Shelf is inspired by the skirts worn by Portuguese fisher women. Their skirts are said to represent "the seven days of the week, the seven colours in the rainbow, the seven waves in a set and many other biblical, mythical and magical attributions which involve the number seven."

Made by the Portuguese furniture company, Piurra Furnituring, the plywood bookshelf is wrapped on all sides by a pleated skirt. Because the shelf opens from any side, you could use this as a room divider. We're thinking this would be great for people with projectors that need to sit behind couches to be properly viewed.

What do you think?
