Are Adult Bouncy Castles the New Wedding Trend of 2018?
How is it already wedding season? It feels like we just celebrated Christmas a week ago. Yet, here we are. It is May, the flowers have bloomed, the sun is shining (most days) and we have about 20 Save the Dates stuck to our refrigerators. Maybe you love weddings, maybe you hate them. If you’re somewhere in-between, the latest wedding trend might just bring you over.
Photo booths are so 2010. The cool new wedding trend of 2018 is bouncy castles. Remember the jump castles we all used to beg our parents for every birthday?
If you’re like me, you never got a bouncy castle for your birthday. But you don’t need to turn a year older to use it as an excuse to get one. You can just get married! Though, it is probably cheaper to just have a castle at your birthday party than to throw an entire wedding for this.
A Wedding Wonderland is a company that provides “unique wedding and event equipment hire.”
The company offers white bouncy castles that they say will provide hours of fun for adults and children. TBH, if it was my wedding, I’d never be able to share with anyone else!
The bouncy castles double as a source of entertainment and a backdrop for photos. The castles can be decorated to the couple’s request. Some of the options are flowers, fans, gold trim, and more.
A Wedding Wonderland also offers photo walls, for a unique photo experience at your wedding. They have customized chair covers and table setting designs as well.
One happy customer said:
“This company provided an excellent service considering they only had four days to prepare for my daughters wedding. Great bouncy castle enjoyed by adults and children. Would certainly recommend this company, thank you”
The rental cost is $400, which isn’t that bad considering photo booths can cost anywhere from $100-150/hour. However, these specific bouncy castles are only available in the UK. There is some available outside of the UK, but we’re sure the popularity will increase and we’ll see a number of these businesses crop up in 2018/2019.
