Break Out The Cocktail Cart

5 o'clock cocktails are never out of season, but there is something about warm weather that makes the idea particularly appealing. A recent visit with my husband's grandparents left me wanting to bring home their custom of a regular cocktail hour — a time to unwind, interact, and ease into the weekend—and these beautiful home bars are fueling the fire.

The idea of a home bar evokes images of gaudy bachelor pads and elaborately designed, sprawling spaces, but you can carve out a sophisticated little cocktail corner in even the most modest of homes. Most of my favorite inspirations don't involve particularly cocktail-y items, just the chic basics: a special tray, a few attractive glasses, a spread of favorite liquors and liqueurs, and a nice spot to place it all.

No go enjoy your Friday night!
