Dept. of Technology. Saw these tables in ID and thought that perhaps the time had arrived when computer technology could generate furniture shapes that seem, well… almost sensual.
These Breeding Tables were designed by the young design team of Kram and Weisshaar from computer programs they developed. “Depressed” by the state of furniture design when they visited the Milan show in 2002, this was their reaction:
“We went in, took one look around, and became quite depressed,” Weisshaar remembers. “The furniture seemed to be trapped in a rut, essentially unchanged for 10 years—no one was integrating technology.” Depression soon turned to inspiration. “We sat down at the Cadorna station and decided to grow products right then and there.”
The Breeding Tables were designed for Moroso and showed at this year’s Milan fair. MGR
