Easter catch you off guard this year? Don’t panic. You can still pull together a beautiful basket, on a budget, on your way home from work tonight. Have $15 and an extra 15 minutes? Head to your local drugstore and you’ve got this.

We hit up our local CVS and built two different baskets: one for a younger kiddo, and one for the older set. Both check off all the appropriate bunny-themed boxes, and are filled with fun and colorful items — not to mention the all-important candy. We’d be happy hoppy to wake up to either of these on Sunday morning.

If you’ve ever walked out of Target about $350 lighter, you know how quickly things add up. Here’s a sweet basket that doesn’t go overboard:

  • Chocolate Bunny: $1.49
  • Marshmallow Peeps: $1.29
  • Reese’s Pieces Easter Carrot Bag Candy: $1.99
  • Basket + Tissue: $4.98

Grand Total = $14.71

When you think of Easter baskets, little tiny toys and kid-friendly treats come first to mind. This one is still a pleasure, but filled with other types of little indulgences:
