“This is my first own apartment and I designed all the interior with my architecture studio Kuper Design Architecture,” begins Sam. “It was really difficult at first to be my client, but we definitely did it good.”

Her apartment is in Buenos Aires, located on the first floor, and she says the space feels more like a house, thanks to the nice large yard the unit sports.

The living room is Sam's favorite room. "[I]t’s where I spend the most of my time. It's big and with a lot of light."

“Every room has a beautiful view to the garden,” she writes. “I love my house because it has the best view to a huge pine tree. I have always lived in places that had a pool. I just couldn’t imagine [living] without one, and I really like taking baths so I thought about a hydro massage … why not?”

When it came to designing her own interiors, she says she “carefully chose the color palette that would give me balance and contrast” but not bore her. There are a lot of wood, white, blue, and gray colors. Sam’s cat, Ricky, also influenced the design. “I live by myself with my cat, so everything had to be designed in order for him to be happy and [the furniture] not ruined by scratching.”

The chairs are @lacarpintariamuebles and the "pots [are] 3D printed that match my chairs."

One of the coolest things in her apartment (I mean, other than the entire apartment), is the dining chair. “I also designed a sustainable table in collaboration with one of my favorite brands out of concrete and plastic, which they recycle from my favorite backpacks,” she explains of the very cool table in her dining room she designed in collaboration with Hollín.

And Sam’s best advice for designing a home that both looks good and works for you? “Study what activities you will do at home so that you know exactly what you need.”

Thanks, Sam!
