While it's hard to find laptops these days missing the standard WiFi card already built-in to their motherboards, there are still a number of devices out there that probably still require the magical WiFi touch (custom desktops, old laptops, home servers - just to name a few). With a reasonably sized and priced 802.11n WiFi dongle from Buffalo, you can say no more to bulky cards and do it right with via USB power. We love the fact that it's so small because really, who wants to dig into an old computer just to find out that there's some strange mechanism holding the card for ransom when you can simply grab a tiny USB dongle and get browsing within minutes!
A closer shot above demonstrates just how small this little guy really is. One of the smallest we've ever seen, that's for sure.
The Buffalo WLI-UC-GN 802.11b/g/n dongle's dimensions are 16x33x8mm and will run about $24 when released sometime next month in Japan. You could always buy it and get it shipped over since USB is pretty universal, but we'd suggest waiting a little longer since we're pretty sure the Buffalo division within the United States is already trying to get the units in production as their products are pretty ubiquitous around here.
