Build a Cardboard Shelf Perfect for Your Phone & Keys

While not quite as exciting as an entire media center made out of cardboard, we do love the idea of using leftover cardboard to create a shelf just perfect for storing our phone and the various items in our pockets. With the shelf placed near the door, it would be great for helping us to streamline our morning routines.

Inspired by the Valley Shelf by Leo Kempf, Instructables user Lorobo77 decided to make his own version to use as resting place for his iPhone using cardboard he had around his home.

Not surprisingly the only material you will need to make this project is cardboard. The tools needed for this project are: a ruler, pencil or pen, cutting mat, X-Acto knife or utility knife, and Elmers glue and/or hot glue.

We like the original design by Leo Kempf and think that this is a stylish way to re-use cardboard and provide a nice resting place for your tech while you get organized at the beginning and end of each day.

Check out the project on Instructables for the complete instructions.
