Build Your Own Concrete Block Furniture

Build Your Own Concrete Block Furniture

Are you a fan of industrial looking furniture? What if it's faux-industrial? (That's a thing right?) These soft bricks are made from a responsive gel-like foam that makes them suitable for building your own sofa, chair or even guest bed, though secretly we all know they're going to make an amazing living room fort.

The idea of being able to build your own furniture is either oddly appealing, or oddly repulsive. I find myself in the appealing category as I'm always in need of something to fit a specific space, I just don't know what. This brick building set up from Torafu Architects would be just exactly that.

Each piece is made with a special foam that moves horizontally as well as vertically with impact and is a new found support system that makes these bricks a little more than just playful floor pillows. They're stiff enough to be a sofa or chair, but comfortable enough to act as something to lounge on. Do you like the idea? What's the first thing you'd build? Let us know below!
