Have you ever looked at a favorite photo or a picture of a favorite destination and thought about using it as the basis for a design? If you love the play of colors in a given image, it can serve as an inspiration for any design from a website to a room. Love the concept but but hate the idea of the work involved? Big Huge Labs has developed a Color Palette Generator that analyzes any photo and produces a palette of hex colors from the image. You can use the generated values to design web sites or graphics, or convert them into Pantone colors to match to paints. Now those wonderful vacation photos of colorful Caribbean foliage can serve as the starting point for a vibrant tropical dining room.
