Literary fans need not sell their souls to find bliss: the 19th century Yorkshire, England house where sisters Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Bronte once lived and wrote their famous novels is now for sale — and for the right owner, it can provide both a happy home and a livelihood, as well.

The stone house at 72-74 Market Street in Thornton has lived several storied lives since the Bronte sisters were in residence until 1820, once as a butcher, once as a museum to the prodigal clan of writers of English classics, and now as a popular cafe — aptly named Emily's.

Charlotte, the eldest of the three Bronte sisters, is best known for Jane Eyre (which she wrote as Currer Bell); Emily, the middle sister, is best known for Wuthering Heights (under pen name Ellis Bell); and Anne, the baby of the family, for The Tenant of Wildfell Hall (as Acton Bell). All three sisters, as well as their brother Branwell, were born on the property.

The current owners, Marc DeLuca and his wife Michelle, transformed the historical house from apartments and museum into its current live/work state, and is now taking bids starting at £250,000 (about $338,000) for the two bedroom, two and a half bath apartment plus the thriving business. According to Curbed, the downstairs cafe brings in approximately $66,000 in annual revenue, and the 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor are particularly glowing for Emily's lattes, wood-fired pizzas, and Sunday brunch — just remember to BYOH (Bring Your Own Hardcover).

Even though the DeLucas told The Telegraph that the property has undergone a complete gut renovation since they purchased it as a repossession (for £120,000, plus an additional £70,000 to fix it up), plenty of Bronte-era period details remain: fireplaces, a timber staircase, and stone slab flooring that leads into the Bronte's former drawing room, now a 16-top dining room for the cafe decorated with pages from Wuthering Heights.

For a full tour, walk invisibly through the DeLuca's Instagram account for Emily's at your leisure, or check out the property listing.
