External Hard Drives Constructed With Cardboard, Hemp, and Beer

FURNICS slogan is "furniture meets electronic", but we're not so sure how many furniture/computer manufacturers offer see-through hard drives, individually handmade-to-order personal computers with Zebrano wood detailing, or accessories like hard drive cases made from hemp and beer mash...

Products like the ByteBench, an iF Design Award winner, and the environmentally friendly BytePac (above) buck typical computer hardware materials for cardboard, unusual wood finishes, and occasionally gimmicky (but cool) features like their see-thru window external hard drives.

And don't forget hard drives with hemp fibers case covers. If the green isn't your thing, there's also cases made from draffs, the solid parts of grain in the mash leftover while brewing beer, alongside a perplexing case embossed to feel like crocodile leather (huh?). Categorize it all under "weird, but true".
