With the success of online magazines such as Rue and Lonny, print magazines are taking a cue from their digital counterparts. California Home+Design magazine recently announced that they will now be offering their monthly issues digitally in addition to print. The July/August issue of California Home+Design can be viewed on their website starting June 23rd.
There will be no charge for viewing the magazine in full online. The digital magazine will have all the same content as the print magazine with the addition of behind the scenes videos and images of their feature photoshoot, products linked to their sources, and bonus recipes.
The magazine has another big announcement - a new executive editor, Erin Feher. Erin has plans to change the style and content of the magazine focusing on more than beautiful homes, but in addition capturing home life and the people inhabiting beautiful spaces. California Home+Design is based in San Francisco, but Erin's goal is to venture down to Southern California and cover inspiring designs in the Los Angeles area as well.
The image above is a preview of the new issue's table of contents. I notice a few stylistic changes already. I can't wait to see the new issue at the end of this month.
