Candela: Electric Lights that Inspire
I thought I would never love plastic. If someone told you that they were selling an electric candle, housed inside of white plastic, you would probably be a little skeptical. I was. When you see the Candela by
Vessel (a new Boston design firm), and you pick it up, and it responds by glowing in your hands you get hooked. You want to show it to someone else. You want to take it home and try it in different places in your house. You want to see what small children will do with it. You want to use in outside. You want to use it in the nursery. We met the designers, Duane and Stefane at ICFF and right away used it in this week’s Mission: Organization film shoot. We’re hooked, and want to spread the word. They come in a smooth base that charges them automatically (up to 5 hours) and are available online at
Vessel for $75 (also in 2 and 10 candle sets).
