Carrie's Desk Design on a Dime

Tell us about your desk/home office: What I love most about my desk and tech space is that it is made from recycled and reused items. I seriously just put it all together on a dime because that is all that I had. The desk's top is a fence board that my husband found in the backyard and painted white. We placed it on top of three ClosetMaid storage units available from Target in the storage container area. The storage units cost a whopping $15.00 each so we spent around $60.00 bucks total for this desk. The white shoe boxes I picked up on sale at Michael's craft store for $1.50 each...

Favorite details?: Some of the favorite things on my desk are the black hand, wooden shoe, and my golden lady paper weight from my friend's vintage Etsy store, Experimental Vintage. The table where my printer sits on is a crate my husband made for me from an old pallet. He took the wood apart and re-used it again to make a crate/table.

The gold reading chairs in the room came from an estate sale that I happened upon one Saturday morning; I bought them each for 20 bucks! The main furniture items in the room we basically bought for 100 dollars. It's fun to see what you can do with something as simple as a fence board in the backyard! Just wanted to share it with you and see if you liked it too.

Yes indeed, we enjoyed it very much, and thank you for sharing, Carrie!
