We’re looking to feature a trendy design enthusiast like yourself in a partnership with a major home brand. We will work with you to make over two small areas in your home that need a little design love. 

These mini makeovers will be style moments that make a big impact without taking up much space. Apartment Therapy’s design experts will select furniture and decor for your home, documenting it all in a before-and-after photo shoot (you will not be on camera).

Projects that might work are areas like an unused corner, entryway space, bedside area, or empty wall. If selected, you’ll receive new decor and furniture for two small areas in your home.

You must be willing to remove all furniture and decor from the featured areas and take photos of the empty spaces for us to use in our content. We will only be showing new furniture and decor from our advertising partner. 

You can expect the project to take 2 weeks to complete:

  • 1 week for accepting packages/deliveries
    • Products will arrive between Monday, February 12 and Thursday, February 29.
    • Please be prepared to store a LARGE delivery of furniture and decor items.
  • 2–3 days for our styling team to unpack and set up during the weeks of February 26 or March 4
  • 1 day for your “After” shoot, shot by professional photographers during the weeks of either February 26 or March 4
    • All contractors — including stylists and photographers — will be professionals.
    • We will work with our selected readers to find mutually convenient times to execute our projects within the dates listed above

Casting Requirements:

  • All applicants must be 18 years of age and older
  • Must live in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, or New York City
  • You will be responsible for emptying the featured areas before the project begins and sending photos of the space whilst empty, which we may use in our content 
  • Must be able to receive and store all packages for the two mini makeovers
  • While we do our best to take your style choices into account, you will not have the final say in the selected product for your home
  • Must be available for up to 12 hours on the shoot day and to open your home to our professional crew
  • You will not be on camera
  • Must be willing to answer a few questions via email after the makeovers so we can quote you in our content
