From those put on the market by the star themselves to homes that once belonged to long gone Hollywood legends, we peeked inside some pretty wild celebrity homes this year. There were funky interiors, funky listings, and even one super funky carpet situation.

Gerard Butler's High Drama Loft

Gerard Butler's Chelsea loft certainly made an impact. With ceiling frescos, stone lions and even a piece from a cathedral, its tres dramatique style is one for the books.

Johnny Depp's Horse Farm

When checking out celebrity real estate one expects to see glitz, glamour and absurd pools, not beige shag carpet in the kitchen. This one makes the list because it's surprising (and a little icky) to see carpet in the kitchen anywhere, let alone in the home of someone raking in so much cold hard Disney cash.

Bruce Willis' Super Secret House

Bruce Willis and his family graced the cover of Elle Decor earlier this year and they looked lovely and charming. We saw the clan captured in various shots of idyllic family life, but what we didn't see was much of the house. Tara did some sleuthing and put together some photos of the elusive Willis home.

The Bold New Look of Judy Garland's Old Apartment

With long halls and lacquered walls, Judy Garland's former Dakota apartment is bright and bold and full of history. After Judy, the apartment belonged to a Studio 54 mainstay before being passed down to her designer daughter Sasha Bikoff, who gave it the colorful look you see in the pictures.

Cary Grant's Former Palm Springs Oasis

Hollywood pedigree aside, this home is all you would want from an expansive, over the top Palm Springs compound. Multiple buildings, huge pools, lush gardens and SO much animal print.
