Ceramic trees are back in a big way. The vintage decorations weren’t just popular at Christmas this year, but a black-and-orange version sold out at Halloween, and now, there are pink ones for Valentine’s Day.

Apparently, people just like trees so much they’re beginning to keep them out for holidays beyond Christmas. On Instagram, you can find trees decorated for basically every holiday, including Mother’s Day and Fourth of July. Maybe ceramic trees are headed in the same direction?

For now, behold the pink ceramic Valentine’s Day tree, which we have to admit is pretty cute. House Beautiful found these on Etsy and Amazon, as well as oversized ones sold on QVC.

Ceramic trees date back to the 1960s and ’70s, when they were sold unpainted so people could customize them to their hearts’ content, according to CeramicChristmasTrees.info. The unpainted versions are still around (you can find them on Etsy and Amazon as well). With these blank canvases, you could paint one for each of your favorite holidays, if you’re into that.

A pink ceramic tree sold by TeresasCeramics on Etsy looks especially promising, sold with a choice of clear star or hot pink star.

“I love my pink tree! It was the highlight of my Christmas!” wrote one reviewer. “Even more beautiful in person. Perfection!” wrote another.

Based on its name, this product may have begun not as Valentine’s Day tree but as an alternative Christmas tree. Why not both?
