CES 2010: Don't Tase Me Bro…ARRGHH!

Easily our favourite booth for sheer entertainment, Taser International helped promote their excellent iPhone Protector cell phone monitoring software for parents (surprisingly one of the best products/services shown at CES 2010) with the crowd pleasing "tase a CES attendee" demonstration. People actually willingly signed up to be tased in front of scream-hungry crowds. There was something particularly pleasing watching this one fella, who starts off a bit cocky, quickly have the attitude shocked outta his britches in one quick zap.

And the demonstration didn't even use the full strength of the Taser system, as they only connected one length to the pant leg, so what we're seeing is just a slap to the system when a full out Taser shock is more like a wollop roundhouse to the whole body.

And what did our bro here earn for his courage and bravado? A Taser cap! Good times at CES.
