Want to know the fastest and most sure-fire way to upgrade the style in your home? You may have guessed it from the title, but it’s rugs, my design-loving friends, rugs. These decor powerhouses pack a ton of personality into compact packages, but frankly, they rarely come cheap, especially if they are vintage or antique (a majorly on-trend look). We rounded up 10 of our favorites available online in roughly 5’x8′, all under $100.

Available in two other colors (gray as well as black), I love the subtle fading on this stain-resistant rug.

A classic Persian-style rug in a distressed blue would be beautiful paired with a more modern sofa for a nice juxtaposition.

Bermuda Easy Shag SG18 Rug at Rugs USA, $76.50 (on sale)

Rugs USA is one of my favorite online sources for super affordable floorcoverings, and if you’re after a Moroccan-style shag rug, you’re likely to find just what you’re looking for here, like this Bermuda rug (also available in navy and dark gray).

Lali Printed Rug in Gold at Urban Outfitters, $99

We’ve included this rug in the bright pink colorway in previous market round ups, but I couldn’t pass up the rich golden yellow offering here.

The explosive pinks and oranges of this rug would bring any room to life instantly.

Another Moroccan-esque option, this time in a dark gray (i.e. far less likely to get soiled easily!).

A beautiful traditional vintage look in a neutral color, though reviewers note that it’s a tad darker IRL than the photos online show it to be.

A small, tight motif like this one is great especially under a bed, so you don’t lose sight of the center medallions so common in vintage-style rug designs.

eSaleRugs, like Rugs USA, is my go-to for wallet-friendly rugs. They have a wonderful selection of Oriental-style rugs at very low prices, like this subtle grayish blue option from their Restoration line.

Geometrics are huge right now, so if you’re after a modern-meets-vintage-style rug, this might be the one for you. Also available in blue and beige.
