CHI Spring Cure: Mid-Way Through Week Two

We're cooking at home this week! For recipes and tips, check out our sister site, The Kitchn, which was founded to provide home cooks with simple recipes and good information on how to make better, healthier food. We're also taking care of some other tasks, like fixing one thing in the apartment and buying a water filter. Keep us posted on your progress in the comments, and link to what you're working on for me and your fellow Curers to see. (Feel free to ask for help and advice in the comments as well.) Good links and assignments below...

Weekly Assignment (Deep Treatment): This is a tough week in terms of time. We're decluttering the kitchen from top to bottom and cleaning all surfaces. This can take a couple of days, so don't push yourself too hard. Spread it out over a few evenings or use this weekend to get it done. We're also cooking at home at least once this week. Both Deep Treatment and One-Room Workout folks are choosing a date for their housewarming this week. Setting an end date is important, since it keeps you on track to finish your work (until the next Cure).

Weekly Assignment (One-Room Workout): One-Room Workout folks are focusing on a floor plan. This step of the process is really important, since it's key in creating a vision for your space. Once you have a clear idea of what functions and what furniture are going into your room, things will fall into place much more easily. There are free floorplan programs on the web you can use (we've used Better Homes & Gardens Arrange-A-Room and Point.Click.Design) or an old-fashioned pencil and paper works just as well too.

A Note About Photos: Our photos on Apartment Therapy are usually 500-540 pixels wide, so please upload photos that are at least that size if you can. I can easily format photos that are too big, but it's hard to format small photos. Thanks!
