If reality TV held a prom, Chip and Joanna Gaines would undoubtedly be crowned king and queen. Since the down-to-earth (and downright hilarious) couple exploded onto the scene with their HGTV series Fixer Upper, they’ve become household names — and those names are everywhere now.

From collaborating on designer home decor lines for popular shopping haunts like Target, to penning books about their life together, the Gaineses have their hands in plenty of honey pots. Or should we say “money” pots?

According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, Chip and Joanna each have a net worth of $9 million. If you need help doing the math, that amounts to a whoppin’ $18 million combined. Holy shi…p. Er, shiplap. Holy shiplap!

In September of 2017, the couple announced that Season 5 would be the last for Fixer Upper, the show that catapulted them into the limelight. While this sent shockwaves through their massive fan base, the decision makes sense when you consider how many other lucrative ventures require their attention. Of course, their January 2018 pregnancy announcement also adds another dimension to their decision.

So how are Chip and Joanna supporting their growing family? Starting with the obvious, the couple pulls down a solid salary for their show, reportedly bringing in around $30,000 per episode plus an as-of-yet undisclosed fee from HGTV.

Then there is the business that led to Chip and Joanna landing their series: Magnolia Homes, the renovation company the couple helms (Joanna as the designer, and Chip as the contractor). In that same vein, Chip and Joanna formed Magnolia Realty, a real estate agency that presumably helps people find houses with the potential to be turned into homes with Fixer Upper appeal. Fans of the show may also remember the episode in which the pair renovated their flagship rental property, Magnolia House. They have since added another rental property to the repertoire, the larger and more luxurious Hillcrest Estate.

The tastemakers also rake in a steady supply of both visitors and revenue at their unique eat-play-shop boutique marketplace in Waco known as Magnolia Market at the Silos. There, guests can purchase home décor with distinctive Joanna flair and nosh on food truck fare. Similar home décor by Chip and Joanna can be found at various home retailers as part of their Magnolia Home Collections — including their highly lauded brand collaboration at Target.

On the publishing front, Chip and Joanna already penned The Magnolia Story together, which sold 121,000 copies its first week in print. In addition, Chip’s Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned from Doing Stupid Stuff was released in October of 2017 and quickly became a NY Times bestseller. And shortly before the release of Chip’s book, Joanna announced she will be coming out with a design book in 2018.

All of which to say, it’s no wonder this darling design-build duo makes major bank.
